This weekend ONLY
The Village Players of Wolfeboro are presenting "A Christmas Story."; the heart-warming and hilarious tale of Ralphie and his relentless pursuit of owning a Red Ryder BB Gun. Despite the dire warnings from adults that he will "shoot his eye out", Ralphie uses every means at his disposal to fulfill his Christmas wish. I am the House Manager (and stage hand and other things) and have been watching this show evolve over the last month. It is truly excellent and the cast is fabulous. The play is based based on the popular movie of the same name. If you grew up between the 40's-50's you will recognize a lot of the references in this show. But no matter what your age, if you love the excitement and anticipation of the Christmas season, you will love "A Christmas Story." Four shows only. Tickets available at the door. Ticket office opens 1 hour before production Auditorium opens 1/2 hour before productions General seating December 16, 2011 8:00 pm -10:00 pm December 17, 2011 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm December 17, 2011 8:00 pm -10:00 pm December 18, 2011 8:00 pm -10:00 pm Details here. |

FYI, the picture of the stage and seating is dated. The new seating is much nicer, padded, and sloped so all can see.
Several of us went to a play there this summer and all agreed it was a very enjoyable experience. |

My wife and I, and our 12 y/o granddaughter went to the play last evening - what a great show - sold out!! Our granddaughter is a classmate of some of the children in the Play and she was impressed with their performances. Everyone did a really great job. If you get a chance over this weekend it is a good time well spent.
Congratulations to the entire cast, and the production staff. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. |

Quilt Lady and I attended the 2:00 PM performance Saturday afternoon. It was excellent, and I was able to say hello to CateP before the play began.
