Vintage Race Boat Regatta 9-16&9-17
Fri. & Sat., Sept. 16 & 17, 9am-4pm. Wolfeboro Vintage Race Boat Regatta
Wolfeboro Bay will thunder with the sound of more than 70 vintage race boats as they run demonstration laps on a 1 mile oval course. Starting time is 8:30am Friday and Saturday and run till 4pm. Spectators are invited to get up close and personal with the boats and their drivers in the pit area on both days. Spectators in their own boats may watch from the fleet line which is 200 feet back from the runing lanes. There is viewing from the town docks also. The Millie B tour boat will go out and give observation close up. This is a national event on the American Power Boat Association Vintage Circuit hosted and coordinated by NHBM. Charity boat rides for those wanting to enjoy the thrill of the race on Saturday. Dinners are planned on both evenings to meet the crews. Visit the Regatta Webpage for the most up-to-date information. Please note: there is very limited private boat parking at the town docks, it is best to go under Main Street bridge and park in Back Bay with a short walk back to the town docks. |

The Millie B ?
Yikes. That might make viewing dangerous from my boat with the Mile B around. Sounds like a day to avoid Wolfeboro. Sorry just couldn't resist after having been cut off a couple of times this summer by Millie.
