After working all week, then sitting in traffic on 93 this afternoon for over 1/2 hour, it was sure was nice to show up at the camp to this sight!! Sun setting over Governors Island, taken just a few minutes ago.

Ya what was up with that.
While sharing a beer with a customer last evening, recieving texts from my wife who was trying to find a way out of traffic. It took her just under 2 hours to go from Merrimack to Belmont. Normally a 1 hour drive.

Rain
Watching the news last night, they were talking to WZID traffic, and they said from mid-afternoon on, traffic was greatly affected by heavy, torrential downpours. It may not have been in your area, but if your were driving toward it, the back up certainly would affect your drive. People were pulling over due to a lack of visibility and in some areas, hail. they also reported some minor accidents that could have been cleared up by the time you got their.
If the rain that went through Alton was any example, we had trouble seeing across the street in a few downpours, and there was considerable ponding on my driveway, even on the area where it slopes down to the house.

That's what it's all about right there. Long week at work, tired, uptight, maybe in a crappy mood, ain't nothin' like a sunset like that sitting on the front porch of the camp to make all inconsequential.
Still working on trying to get my little piece! |
