Default Rick Perry Connection to Lake Winni

Seems like Gov. Perry's "Money People" share ownership of Parker Island

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/441776...y-backs-perry/

They can probably almost see Mitts place from Parker!

MSNBC had this clip from Google Earth on tonights Rachael Maddow Show.

Seems the two money groups behind Mr. Perry are run by the owners of the only 2 houses on Parker.

I forgot that Carney joined Perry after jumping off Newt's rapidly sinking ship. Thanks for the link.

If Rick Perry makes a campaign promise to spend ten days at Lake Winnipesaukee's very luxurious Parker Island on vacation for every month of August that he is president, then I'll be happy to switch my righteous vote from Obama to Perry! Lake Winnipesaukee deserves a president over in Wolfeboro!

Ah the fun of presidential elections... Just remember should the best candidate end up being someone that enjoys the lake, there will be changes for all of us to have to deal with.

Amway's connection to Lake Winnipesaukee. Amway had one of there "seminars" on Parker Island about 10 years ago. Google Amway for some eye opening links.

So what's the point of the story? Are they trying to manufacture something here? They make it sound as if anyone can run for nation wide office and not have some political and financial backing. DUH! Of course they do. If they don't they would never make it onto the political stage to begin with. As if any of MSNBC's left wing favorites are innocent of this kind of thing.

No wonder why MSNBC is in last place in the ratings and hardly anyone watches or cares what they say.

What is important is that our country is facing some very profound challenges right now and with an election around the corner it is our civic duty to become educated and listen to what all the candidates themselves have to say about how they intend to address them. That's newsworthy, not this stuff.

I wasn't commenting on MSNBC, just reporting were I saw it. The article was written by Michael Isikoff and rported on MSNBC.

I wasn't being political... just pointing out that we had some political bigwigs here at the lake.

The house in the picture is the one the guy from Amway built. If I remember right, they owned the whole island at first but later sold the other side of it.

Can you tell me a little about what the link to Rolling Stone says? I am having trouble with Safari. For some reason it keep knocking me off and it is driving me crazy. It seems to be more when I try to open a link. Thanks.

Not to get off topic but I know I appreciate it when somebody who posts a link, says a little bit of what it says.

Maxum says that no one watches MSNBC, so songkai posts a Rolling Stone piece bashing Fox news.

I'm glad we don't have any politics on this site.

Somehow, I managed to get Rolling Stone for free for a year.

Talk about a bum deal. Yeah, the magazine was free but I will never get back the time I spent desperately trying (unsuccessfully) to find something worthy of print. What a rag.

For cripes sake, they even ranked Jack White a better guitarist than Pete Townsend. BWHAHAHAHA. Please.

SteveA- not giving you a hard time nor am I trying to be political in any way either. Simply put these "stories" (as if they equate to hard news) are really nothing other than a means to steer people away from paying attention to the real problems facing this country and try to smear candidates when they ALL are in bed with big money political backing. As if this should come as a surprise. It is interesting though that there are at least a couple guys that have a real good shot at the white house that have connections to the lake.

JRC- hey I'm right there with ya... I was merely stating fact about MSNBC's continued decline in viewership and in no way endorsing any other outlet. Where Fox News or any other media outlet fits into that statement is beyond me.

No offense taken. Fox News is clearly number 1, by a long shot. MSNBC is growing in audience, not shrinking, and has taken over #2 spot from CNN.(according to Nielson) but still miles behind Fox.

Here is an article.. even has a graph!

I don't think I would want to be the one to post pics of a Presidential candidates house on the net. I'd let someone else do that...

Ironically, the HuffPo article mentions Romney, but does not point out that he owns a place very close to Parker. You'd think that would warrant inclusion, even if just for the gee-whiz-small-world yucks.
