Franco-American History Needed
Help us celebrate French culture in the Lakes Region and the 400th anniversary of Quebec City!
Laconia Historical & Museum Society is conducting oral histories with people of French Canadian descent who grew up in the Laconia, Lakeport, The Weirs area. Oral histories will be preserved in the Society's archives and will be used for educational programming and exhibitions. SEEKING- family objects, memorabilia, photos related to topics of home life, work life, religion, French language, politics, ties to Quebec and daily life. Donations and/or loans are sought for our upcoming exhibit "Je t'aime Laconia" opening May 21st, 2008.
