I've got to get sand delivered out to Barndoor island to enhance a beach area. I figure about two to three tons will do, who do I call?

I just had a perched beach installed, and the permit for that specifically states that future sand replenishment is prohibited without an additional permit. Since that type of beach is up on the shore, with a water permeable membrane to keep sand out of the lake, it doesn't look good for a sandy slope into the water - if that's the kind of beach to which you are adding sand.

Here are the DES guidelines on replacing sand. Hope this helps.

As previously mentioned, beach replenishment is by permit only. |

RLW:
You were critical of a poster who docked in the handicapped boat spot in Wolfeboro and suggested that if you were around you would make sure he/she received a ticket. Yet, on this thread you are suggesting ways for a member to circumvent the state rules for putting sand in the lake. I would have expected more from you. |
