My daughter is 14 and is looking to get a job of some kind this summer at the lake. Given we'd need to drive her, it would need to be somewhat close to Arcadia Campground/Moultonborough Neck Road.
Any thoughts of who might hire that age in that area? Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk |

I'd try Trexler's and The Boro. But if memory serves--it's really tough to predict at that age/level. Best is for her to walk into every possible place with a smile and ask to speak with the manager. Keep us posted!

We'd thought about JoJo's, but they say 16+.
Trexler's and The Boro are good suggestions, but Flying makes a good point that it might just be worth a drive from camp to see what we come across. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk |

how about starting a babysitting biz? I would think there are plenty of weekenders/vacationers who want to go out for dinner (or whatever) and need a sitter for a couple of hours. Possibly plenty of opportunity right at Arcadia, likely with people you know/acquaintances - important since you would need to vet clients before you sent your 14 yo over to a stranger's place...

Market Basket will hire a 14-year old if they get a work permit signed by their school. Google it .... lots of info on this.

My daughter is not, ummm, the babysitting/touchy-feely/emotional type. She's more the rough and tough horseback rider/gym rat!
I've suggested she do odd jobs at the camp—which was incredibly lucrative for my son—but I think she wants something formal for some reason. Market Basket is too far, but Heath's might be on the tour if we go that direction. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk |

The Village Kitchen would hire her, and you're not that far away from that location.....

Probably too far but Town Docks in Meredith hires at 14 for ice cream and trash/yard. Bonus you can drop off and pick up by boat which is awfully fun for them
