I've got to more or less side with the Big Kahuna on this one. I agree other folks that the MP is not, and probably shouldn't be, a towing service.
But, the circumstances were that this was a disabled boat, full of kids, at night, in the middle of a post-fireworks traffic crunch. Those people were clearly in danger and would have been much safer if the MP had stayed with them with flashers going until a tow boat arrived. The MP might even have had his dispatcher call one.So far as I know, that's what a NH State Trooper would have done in an equivalent situation on the highway; I can't imagine why the MP would behave differently ...Silver Duck |
