Thank you so much! In CT, we live in a heavily developed suburban area, and maybe that's why I don't like winter. There's nothing to see except house after house of snow piled up in front of their yards and extra tall mountains at the sides of the driveways.

Whenever we've been to NH in the winter, whether to hike up the mountains in Franconia when I was younger or to visit the towns on the lake, it's so different looking and nicer than at home. Winter is actually beautiful in NH.

And yes, the more I think about it, the more I think we'll be back. We've decided to rent rather than buy and see how we like it, and if we don't, we can head back north. Or, when we retire, maybe do the snowbird thing where we live in both places, but that's still awhile down the road.
