Default New rule process?

In June there was a public hearing, Wednesday morning at 9:00 am, regarding rule changes for rafting in Braun Bay. The petition was denied.
It occurs to me that a Wednesday morning in early June is not ideal scheduling for so many who come from out of, in this case, the Moultonborough area, or for many, from out of state.
I've been talking to one of my state reps about possible changes to the law. Options include
1. Repeal the agency rule making authority
2. Require hearings on a week end
3. Require hearings in July/August
4. Require recording and internet posting of hearings with an extended written testimony period.

Are you all satisfied with the current petition and hearing process, or would you like to see something different? The first bill filing period is just after the primary elections on Sept. 10.

I'm not sure what the solution is, but a weekday morning hearing is not it—that prohibits so many people from showing up.

It most certainly does NOT prohibit so many people from showing up. It is a public hearing.

What was meant was that a lot of interested parties are not available on a weekday morning to attend because of work, school, etc. You are correct, no one is prohibited but, they are unavailable.
