I've got two wooden oars I've been holding onto for some reason, but if someone here could use them, send me a message with an offer.

What's the length?
Oars with oar locks attached like that make it a lot easier to use than the sloppy fit of oars and oar locks that can be feathered. You should donate it to Step-Ladders Thrift in Plymouth ... www.facebook.com/LaddersThrift?rdr ..... which has a water sports section in their basement who will price it at about $35, 1/3 a regular new price.

Old wood oars like these can be sanded, painted and rowed for another 75-years.
Maybe donate them to the Ladder's Thrift water sports in Plymouth who will price it at $25 to $50.

Craigslist.
Someone would jump for oars. And pay for them. |

You can always ask the Boat Museum. They might like a pair.

If you are refinishing, you should ensure it is not lead-based paint or take extra precautions with dust. Otherwise, it makes a nice project.

Great post! Inexpensive accurate tests available at any hardware store. Very important, especially for children. Old paint like that will shed easily onto your hands
