I have previously heard that LG and Samsung products have had serious issues, and getting parts seem to be the biggest issues! With that, I have always stayed away from those particular products.

If I'm going to be here 4 or 5 months a year I want to be absolutely sure not to encounter reliability issues. Issues like that can ruin a summer!
Over the years we've had quite a few Samsung tvs though and they seem to be ok.
