Default Wedding at Waukewan on Sept 10...need cake help stat.....

Help, please. I need to have a wedding cake for about 60 guests at the Waukewan Country Club on September the 10th.

I don't now yet what flavor, what colors, or how many tiers yet, but if anyone knows of someone who can be of help, locally, not in Concord or Sunapee, please let me know.

Does Hannaford or Star do this, and if so, are the cakes nice? Nice enough?

Thanks for any help.

Call the Willows Restaurant in Weirs Beach and ask to speak to Tammy! For a number of years she ran her own shop near busy corner, before the landlord lost his mind and upped her rent into insanity.

She is exceptionally talented, makes a large variety of flavors, and her cakes are wonderful! Perhaps she can whip up a beauty for you.

As for Hannaford or Shaws - they're fine for a little birthday, but something as important as a wedding cake is a bit risky there. JMHO.

Let us know how you make out!

Default I do cakes

I do wedding cakes. Cakes are a hobby of mine. I made my own wedding cake. If you'd like to see some pictures I'll be happy to share.

Default Thank you Pepper!!

You have really helped.

I volunteered to be of any help at all, but it's tough long distance.

I will try to stop in and say hello when I'm there next month.

Default Call Donna Love

Call Donna Love at Love Bites. She is terrific. We had a 50th birthday cake for my sister last year, trekked it to MA for the party. Next morning the only thing folks wanted for breakfast was MORE CAKE. She's in Moultonboro

Default wedding cake

Cakes by Karen out of Gilford does a wonderful job. Her cakes taste delicious and are designed beautifully. She was great to work with, very accommodating and provided helpful suggestions. Karen Dean - 603.524.8345. When I was looking in '03 The Inn at Mills Falls in Meredith had a book of some of her cakes, they may still have it as I saw she's still listed in their 'recommended services' section. We've also asked her to make anniversary cakes for us and each time they're to die for. Good Luck!

Default Thank you all so much.....

I have been in e-contact with the bride, and she is mulling things over.....flavors, colors, teirs, etc, and these suggestions are all wonderful, and I thank all of you for your help.

I will tell her the names and numbers of everyone and let her and the groom (my son ) decide what they want, work out the details, and we will pay the tab!!

Thanks again, everyone.

Gotta love New Englanders!!!!

Some details are best not mentioned or are you practicing to be a pita mother-in-law?

Help the kids whenever possible and do it anonymously.

May their marriage be long and fruitful.
