Opened up the island home yesterday and had my first “island drink” while sitting by the fire! Got beat out there by an hour or so by a couple of my neighbors!

Back on the mainland today to gather a few things then back to the island permanently for the summer!

I was very surprised to see quite a few boats out and about!

Quarantining here I come!

Very jealous. Trapped at home in Miami, and while there are probably worse places to be trapped than Miami, we would much rather be “quarantined” lakeside! Enjoy.

I've got to get my fishing rods for the April 1st start.

When you say permanently for the summer, do you mean being self-sufficient for the rest of the summer, or just that the island is your permanent base but you will still be grocery shopping etc.?

My permanent home in the summer is Welch Island. I move 1 mile from my winter home in Gilford NH. I will go out when necessities are needed...
