Just refinished the lower level of the abode. I am trying to decorate in a nautical early lake Winnipesaukee theme.
The current line up is... I scored a vintage Lake Winni Pennant off of E-bay. I have a 1958 Johnson Outboard with about 10 original hours. I am trying to find some of the vintage Boston & Maine Posters that featured Lake Winnipesaukee as a destination? Anyone have a line on those? Any other ideas and suggestions will be appreciated! Woodsy

While it doesn't belong to me, probably the new owner is not aware of what it is, or was. It's now lying on the ground with no particular use or purpose at the rear of some ground cover landscaping used basically as an unnecessary border, or something. It's big; maybe 15'x12"x12"x tapered ends, heavy; maybe 200lbs, and looks to be in good condition. It is the old wood #3 spar marker, that was replaced a couple years ago with a marker made of pvc plastic.
What's a good use for an old wood Winnipesaukee spar marker other than as a non-landscaping, seemingly discarded timber? |

Hi Woodsy. Found an Ebay site with a lot of different links to sellers / stores. A lot of vintage postcard sites but some sites with unique items.
http://stores.ebay.com/stores/shopst...=winnipesaukee Will explore some more. Good luck! |

Feel free to print out anything that I have posted here onto some high quality photo paper and put it in a frame ![]() You must have an old pair of skiis or the old oars/paddles under the deck that would look nice with a coat of polyurethane.....? ![]() |

The Lake Winni Historical Society sells prints and books: www.lwhs.us/shop.htm
The Weirs Times is advertising LWHS reprints of a 1911 Winnipissiogee map (or is it a chart?). Weirs Times Apr13 (17MB) |
