My daughter ski raced for years.
Tommy's at WV is one of the toughest GS runs around. If you survive the last compression gassed is an understatement across the line. She loved it. |

Fun stuff. My daughter ski raced also. Unfortunately it was hard on her body with the crashes and all. Guessing you heard the saying “ if you are not crashing or skiing out your not pushing the limits”

Nov 15: With the local WV temp now at ten degrees, the snow guns are pumping out the snow, up and down White Caps, base to top of the quad, and seems likely WV will actually be open for turkey day which is seven days away.
www.waterville.com/cams/ The Valley has natural snow cover all around, with about 5" of heavy dense snow cover, which makes it all look very very white, like winter. Winter is here in WV, but will it be staying, or what? About six miles down the road, on Rt 49 in Thornton and Campton, the ground has no snow, and is all looking like late summer? Do believe the four miles of smooth dirt Livermore Rd going up the WMNF is probably doable for xc skiing at this time with your WMNF windshield $5-day/$30-year vehicle sticker. Can always hike it on foot, just off the side of the road ..... or bike it on a pedal bicycle ......a multiple use, dog friendly trail.
