Had a similar experience (Sue Doe-Nym) last Saturday night. Walked in with a couple friends ~7:30 hoping to try it out. We found 3 spots at the bar (no host; seat yourself) and left 10-15min later without even an acknowledgement from any staff (until we got up to leave). It wasn't busy at all at the bar. Now, in fairness, it is new this year, it was post-Labor day (tough to get good staff?), and there was a private event taking up several tables. Maybe just need some more time to settle? Still, the place gave me the willies.

Default Lake View

I wasn't going to start my own thread on this because that just seems cruel to the owners of a new restaurant, but now that there's one started I'll throw in my 2 cents.

My wife and I tried this place a couple months back and we were very disappointed. We went in with our eye's wide open, knowing that this is the type of place locals are more likely to frequent. Frankly, I enjoy those types of places from time to time rather than the other Meredith restaurants typically packed with summer residents. Sometimes all you want is good food, good service and no frills.

We walked in and grabbed a table next to the widow with a view of the lake -things were looking promising. We sat there for a half an hour before the waiter took our order - uh oh. The place was pretty empty other than one table of ~8 people (with a screaming kid). I had a craving for some pizza and the menu said flatbread, so I was sold. My wife ordered chicken parm, because it's impossible to mess that up and is generally a good test if a restaurant is at least somewhat competent. My pizza came out half an hour later. It was basically one of those 8 inch pizzas that Papa Ginos places on a conveyor toaster oven. My wife's chicken parm came out ten minutes later overcooked.

Probably not going back.

I've been there twice since it opened. Both times, was really impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere. The first time was in the afternoon, and I had chilli and nachos. It was good, affordable upscale pub food and service was decent. I went the second time at night and had a burger. At night, there are times it's crowded by the bar and it takes a little more time to get your food. Expect the wait time you'd have at a classier restaurant in a pub setting. For me, it's no big deal...just don't go there if you're in a hurry. The burger was great and the server was nice. I haven't tried any of their cocktails as of yet. I really hope they're around for awhile.
