Default Boat Launch

I am looking to launch a 35" boat from a hydraulic trailer. Closest launch to Meredith Bay. Meredith docks launch has a limit of 30'. Needs to be cement as boat is 16000 lbs + whatever the trailer weighs

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Default Call Miles Marine

The Glendale ramp will work but I believe you have to be a Gilford resident or business, or the boat has to belong to a Gilford resident to use it.

The Meredith ramp is poorly designed and the angle of the turn around for the boat and trailer makes it difficult to navigate. Any large combination of boat and towing vehicle needs to pull out across the road to back in successfully.

The ramp at Shep Brown's in Meredith will work.

Call Miles Marine in Gilford. 603-527-1887. They launch large boats, some over 50 feet in length, from hydraulic trailers every day. The do the majority of the large boat transports for most all of the marinas on Winnipesaukee and also move all of the NH Marine Patrol's larger boats. I am sure they can tell you where you can and cannot launch.

PS. A 35 inch boat is not that big!

Miles Marine often launches large boats at Fay's. It is tricky to back in but can be done. I'm sure that they coordinate with Fay's ahead of time.

Default Shep Brown's

Another plug for Shep Brown's on Meredith Neck. Have launched there with a large hydraulic semi truck-trailer, so I know the ramp can accommodate a big rig.

Ok, I'll be the first wiseguy. A 35" boat should be no problem even by hand.

FLL's post was clearly meant for the rowboat thread, which he has fixed.
