Well said hig. I started using my lanyard when I'm in the boat alone after the first incident earlier this season. Its a pain in the neck as I'm always forgetting that I have it on when I go to tie up at the dock. Either I get hung up or it dislodges the switch and I have trouble starting the next time out. Since that time I have both of my boats setup for its use. Every time I test it, it has worked flawlessly. I Can't say enough good about it and I have absolutely no excuse for not wearing a tether now. You should look into one...
