Vacation Rental "etiquette"

I would look and see if the house is on the market.

As people have stated in other post the economy is still stagnant for many people. We had to rent 3 different houses in the past 3 years as one had to sell, the other stopped renting and is now on the market. We were lucky that they let me know as soon as I contacted them ( normally by New Years) and pointed me to their friends that rent.

I'm assuming you rolled your security deposit into a deposit for the following year?
