My wife and I were in Wolfeboro on Saturday and saw 2 loons feasting just off the docks. I'm always amazed at how quickly they can move underwater. Thankfully I had my long lens with me. Below is my best shot.

We haven't heard nor seen a loon on our lake (Sunset Lake Alton) in the past week or 2. It is about this time they leave for the winter and we have others stop in for the night or night and day on their way back to the ocean.
