I only get out a handful of night cruises each season and tonight was a beauty. It was calm and peaceful. There were a ton of boats out until it turned dark, 8:30 - 9ish and then the lake was almost empty. The air was cool, almost no wind and the sunset was pretty great.
Marine Patrol was working over a pontoon running with his docking lights on out at Little Mark. Not sure the toon had navigation or stern lights but definitely had his docking lights burning brite. I was amazed to see all the boats pulling skiers and tubers well after sunset (7:45pm), most without their navigation lights either. There were at least 4 or 5 boats out pulling multiple skiers around sleepers, treasure and rattlesnake. I find this incredibly irresponsible, but tried to just enjoy the beautiful nite. |

The evening was beautiful. I am quite surprise the NWZ next to Eagle Island was not even NWZ, despite the presence of the marine patrol. Was he looking the other way?
