Great photo NoBozo. It is often difficult to capture just how rough it can get on the Broads but you did it the best I've ever seen!

Ya know...some of these shots are absolutely timeless. Kids on a dock? That could have been me decades ago. That's what I love about this lake. So many great memories, so many generations. The feeling of returning home (even if you don't live here year-round)

One of the better threads on the forum in a while! Here are my slices of this heaven that I rotate on my desktop. All original shots, no post-processing involved.

First taken November 15th, 2012. We had a week or so where every sunset was like this.

Second and third, my favorite time of day, the early morning calm of a summer day.

Last, the mist as the heat leaves the water late in the summer.

YUP: Just kidding: That was about 125 nautical miles North West of Bermuda..June 1979. I was Solo. Later on that day..I took a "Knockdown", (During Cocktails yet...OH the Humanities) .... with the mast in the water.

The boat popped back up and continued sailing under Wind Vane self steering.... while I sat in the cockpit Looking. The boat was a C&C 27. Great fun. NB

Install Classic Shell or something similar (there are several). You can download it for free here. It adds back the Start button and normal menus to Windows 8 and lets you startup in your desktop, instead of Metro. I use Windows 8 with Classic Shell and it works like Windows 7.
