The cold blustery weather did not deter the crowds or the spirit of this years parade and tree lighting. Merry Christmas!

Love the pics! I heard there were tons of people but from your pics they must have been further down in the center of town.

Thanks for the photos! I really appreciate the one with the ACTS dogs! I'm walking with one of the service puppies-in-training.

I still find it hard to watch as a landscape trailer with open sides rolls by with little kids on it.....One wrong move and bad, bad, bad.....

Agreed. That looks like a real bad accident waiting to happen.Surprized they are allowed to use that without at least having it enclosed with plywood up to the rails.

You guys do know there are people walking behind and in front of this trailer don't you?... How fast can the trailer be moving 1 maybe 2 mph?? It's a parade for heaven sake! How many parade floats have fences around the perimeter...

Again, we lose all our fun protecting ourselves. I don't see how badly one of the kids could be hurt even if the one in a million happened and one of the kids fell out. If they were going fast, it would be a different story. But they also can't throw candy at the Fourth parade anymore because one in a million might get hurt. No body wants to take the responsibility.

I have taken part in parades several times in my life. Both on floats, as well as walking in close proximity to moving vehicles. I quite honestly have always been more afraid and concerned with tripping over my own two feet, or someone elses feet then, worrying about someone falling off a float, or being bumped by a moving vehicle. People are more safety minded, then you want to give them credit for, especially where this is a parade.....But then again at the rate this country is going, soon sidewalks are going to be padded with foam, as someone might just trip.

I'm certainly not a nervous Nancy but how much reaction time do you need if one of the kids falls off the front and under the trailer? I guess I'm getting old.

Great pics of parade. Where exactly is that beautiful tree situated? It looks like it's in the middle of the street. Unfortunately cam on the Mount isn't working. Everyday I hope to open and see a lit tree on the bow. Merry Christmas everyone.

Thanks for the great picture. I've never been in Wolfeboro in winter but would love to make a trip up to see the tree.

I know it happened someplace recently (last year I think) somewhere. Someone fell off the float and was killed by the the trailers tires.

Maybe we should create a new law that requires all parade floats to have seat belts for riders, that way they can't fall out
