I got some last year from Tim Anair's logging operation in Meredith (279-7354). You're coming to the game a bit late but it's worth a try. I've found that wood cut to 14" isn't as common so you may get wood that has been sitting around a bit. I stepped it up to 16" cuts and found I got much more consistent quality. Tim will never cheat you on a cord.

Default Most professional loggers have the right equipment

many professional loggers have equipment that allows them to dial in a specific length of a log, ie 14 in, 16 in, 18 in etc., and the machine takes over from there. Log is cut to the appropriate length and then log is moved for the next cut. Accuracy is around a 1/4 inch in length.

Give M & M Logging at 875-5684 (John) in Alton a call.

I do not know where you are in the Lakes Region, and agree you may be a little late in the hunt for seasoned wood. Good Luck.

Default Seasoned Firewood

Echoing prior comment... 'coming to the game late'.....

That said......

Try Mike Galllager in Meredith, he may be able to help you.
Honest and sincer guy, great wood, fair price.

Actually burning some of his wood as we speak in my fireplace insert, sweet !

Also M & M as posted is also a good source of firewood.

Good luck !
