I am currently searching for a 5th boat to add to the growing fleet. The combined hive of knowledge here seems like a great place to aid in my search. I am open to ideas, but given the utilization of the current boats it seems the next boat should be something like a 260 Sundancer. Does any one have any knowledge of this boat? Or a boat in the same class as this boat that would be a good alternative?
Thanks Kurt |

Not from Maine, NH born and bread. Even a Wildcat (beat a few Blackbears on the gridiron). I wish I had a Classic Glastron Molinari 2+2 painted red white and blue, but not at the moment. Crownlines, any model in-particular?

Take a serious look at the Crownline 270br. It's our 5th boat and our favorite.

Kurt. I got a 2007 Sea Ray 240 Sundeck over the winter.....by far the best boat I have ever had. I bought it at Irwin Marine in Laconia. I did alot of research and found that the Sea Ray lineup dominates lake winni, and the Sundeck series is by far the most popular boat on the lake. I have only put on 12 hours so far this year, but my sundeck is the best handling, best riding, highest quality boat I have ever owned.....now I know why they are the most popular boat on lake winni!!!! I say Sea Ray sundeck!!!!!!

I would also consider the Four Winns H260 or a H240 as a comparable alternative.

Thanks for all the help. I am going to take a look at all these great recommendations. Keep them coming. Seems everyone is leaning towards a boat with an open bow? Instead of the cruisers?

We have both a Crownline 270BR (lake) and a SeaRay SD 260 (harbor). Both are great boats!
I would think it would be a personal choice of what your user wants...more seating on a bowrider VS sleeping on the cruiser? The Crownline seems to have a wider beam, and its pretty peppy. The Searay has the nice cabin, and plows through waves well, lots of goodies. Get one of each!

I also went to McKelvie and West. I believe my 8TH class was the first one to graduate from McKelvie.

SR sundecks are by far the most popular boat on the lake.....have you ever been to Mountain View Yacht Club....valet program prob has at least 30 of them.....but good luck finding a used one.....they are impossible to find. When I bought mine used at Irwin Marine, they said they sell 40 sundecks a year easily.

Have owned a 240SD and a 30 Sunadancer:
![]() As I currently own a 2006 260BR from Formula ( great seating) I can honestly say I have had fewer issues with this boat than my 240 SD. The boat is great and well powered and heavy enough for anything the lake has to offer. Look for a model with the extended swim platform it gives so much more usable space for relaxing. With lots of used invetory I am sure you can find a deal out there. Good luck |

Thanks for all the suggestions, we are still looking around for the 5th boat, but in the meantime. We have decided to replace our fishing boat for a 240 Berkshire Pontoon boat. The Fishing boat, was not getting any utilization, so it had to go, and our members have been extremely pleased with the 220 Berkshire, so the 240 was an easy choice.
Thanks Kurt

Kurt, as a charter ABCNH member, I humbly submit a request for another bow rider. Also like the deck boat suggestion! Good call on the fishing boat.
