Smile Places to stay in Pittsburg.

Number one on my list is Tall Timber Lodge. Right on Back Lake, also on trails, clean, great restaurant on site. All price ranges. Go to www.talltimber.com.

My second choice is Snowfield Cabins 5 minutes from Tall Timber. Very reasonable in cost, call owners Dennis and Pat Plante (603-538-7008). Very clean and good value for the money all cabins have full kitchen facilities. do a search on the web for pictures also nice people to deal with. Not sure if they are on the trails but I think so. Just call and ask.

hope that helps.

Default Tall Timber

Tall Timnber is the ultimate snowmobile getaway. Right on trails, awesome restaurant....Lopstick Lodge is also nice, but no restaurant, so you have to get in car for food, but it is north, so on a year that does not have a lot of snow, you have better access to northern trails.

When in Pittsburg, my trailer stays attached to my truck. Snomo only!!

Hockeypuck also told me about Tall Timber Lodge. We stayed there a few years ago. Would be number one on my list also.

Back Lake is a very busy area and so is getting in and out of the gas stations in Town therefore conditions vary greatly. Some people like to be where the action is, some don't. Your mileage may vary.
