November 2011 Update

November Dinner Meeting
We are planning our first Monthly Meting for November 19th at the Swissvale Club House. It will be a POT LUCK Supper. Starting time will be at 6:30pm. We are hoping for members to bring Appetizers, Covered Dishes and Deserts.

Christmas Party
We are planning to have our Christmas Party at CANOE on December 17th. We are putting the details together and will update every one ASAP.

We are planning to do a combination of Meetings, some at local Restaurants and at the Swissvale Club House. Please let us know what you would the Themes of these dinners to be, Pizza Party, Pot Luck or Catered. We are open to suggestions.

Progressive Dinner
We will also be planning a Progressive Dinner Ride this season with the cooperation of the Snow and the Lake. Last years Ride was very successful.

Replacement Groomer
We are presently looking at a 1997 Tucker 1000 with Steel Tracks. It is being evaluated at Cook’s as to the conditions it is in. We are waiting to see what service work may or may not be needed to have ready for the Season.

Snowmobile Safety Course
We will be holding our 2011 Snowmobile Class on Saturday December 17th at the Geneva Point Center, Geneva Point Road, Moultonboro. The Class will start at 8:00am and run through to 3:30pm. The Club will be providing Lunch.

Please bring your riding gear as part of the Class requires riding on an outdoor course to test your knowledge of snowmobile rules and riding skills. We encourage Parents to attend the class.

Please contact Steve Janaitis at 603-253-6707 as soon as possible to reserve a place in the Class.

Winter Festival
We will be holding a winter festival this year during the riding season at the recreation area at Playground Drive (across from Subway). This will be a family event with refreshments, activities and demonstrations. We are planning on having our grooming fleet on hand and will provide rides in our 2009 Tucker 1000 (and hopefully a new machine as well!). Look for more details as the season progresses.

Trail Work
We started our trail work for the 2011-2012 season and are trying to get a good sized group of volunteers to help out next Saturday Work session. We are planning on starting at 0800 and finishing around 230PM.

Please consider joining us. It really takes a lot of person hours each year to get ready and we need help. The work generally involves cutting and dragging brush. We meet at our garage on Highway Garage Drive in Moultonborough (about a half mile down the Neck Rd on the left)

The MSC garage is located on Highway Garage Drive which is approximately 3/4 of a mile down Moultonboro Neck Road on the left.
