Moped tuneup
I have a moped that has not been used in some time. It starts but does not have enough power to go. I suspect a fuel/carb cleaning/problem. Does someone know of a small engine repair shop in Meredith area that can help. I would also consider a small home repair type person if they have a interest. Let me know!

Moped repair
OK called Mark Richer repair in Moultonboro and he said he does not service mopeds. Any Mom & Pop kinda places in Meredith area that may be handy?? It just has a gunked up carb. It starts it just boggs down and does not get up to speed.

Gumout
You might try this product. It might just do the trick, and cheaper than a repair person.
http://www.gumout.com/drive-o-nomics/faqs.asp BTW: If you mix oil with your gas, it is a 2 Strioke engine. I think Gumout has a product specific for that. NB |

First off make sure it is fresh gas. If is is starting take the air cleaner off and when it starts to runs spray some carb cleaner in the carb throat. Sometimes this is all that is needed to to get the little particles out that are fudging up the jets. Also add a little gas mix carb cleaner to the new gasoline. Make sure you clean the air cleaner or replace it if dirty.

I would definitely NOT take my Moped to a Harley dealer for a tune up.....even if you could borrow a Black Leather Jacket & Doo Rag. NB

National Powersports
Since my wife purchased her new bike there I've been dealing with them.
They do repairs on all makes and models of bikes, TV’s and maybe even mopeds. There customer service talents are excellent and they are a very reasonable resource for parts at a significant savings over HK's inflated prices. |

A cheap thing to try may be a new spark plug
