Winnipesaukee Yacht Club
Mystery solved, just as Mcdude thought it would be.
see the card here: http://www.winnipesaukee.com/photopo...cat=531&page=1 RG & McDude were wondering in the photopost section whether this building was still in existence. It was also a question that was posed to the readers of Alton's Main Street. Evidently there were several calls and emails, including one that said" boy, what a bunch of short memories". Per the article in the April 2005 Main Street, the building does in fact still exist in the Mount Major Park area, just north of Boulder Lodge. House was built in 1910, making it 95 years old. Thanks for the post card posting so that those who don't get the Main Street can enjoy info about the building.

Yacht club
If my memory serves me correctly, the building has changed slightly from the old picture. The wraparound porch is still there, but there is now a large dormer which extends out front to the end of the porch roof. I always wondered when boating past there what the history of the building was. It was fairly large compared to most of the older camps in the area.
