Default Gigapans from RT 11, Alton Docks and of Mt. Major

These pictures were taken on March 27, and 28th. They were taken with a Gigapan but I exported the images with OpenZoom so we don't have the usual control interface.

To control the OpenZoom image use your mouse wheel to zoom in or out. Click on the image and drag it to move from side to side. Keyboard controls will also work. + will zoom in, - will zoom out. The arrow keys will allow you to move around the images. F will go full screen and H will show all.

GigaPan of Alton Bay's Docks
GigaPan from RT 11
GigaPan of Mt. Major

I hope everyone enjoys them, all comments are welcome and it would be great to hear some feedback.

Thanks!

I took a few more last summer, but the whole Gigapan bit was still new to me so there are a lot more mistakes in them. If I can find some time I'll post them to show you what I mean.

I don't sell them though I was told I should before, so i'll look into it.

Yeah I would like to take more photos from around the lake. Any suggestions on what you would like to see?

Thanks for the great feedback!

Here is one from Alton last summer.

The stripping you see is because I didn't leave enough overlap between the images. That's why i'm working on retaking the shots.

I'm uploading the Mt. Major ones. So hopefully later today, i'll post some new ones.

Great pics. In the rt11 shot you can see what I mean by they need to cut them trees down or the view will be gone pretty soon.

If you can get some from Weirs Beach through the Naswa bikini contest that would be great

Here are the two that I took last summer from Mt. Major. We were still learning how to use everything so I hope to retake these images this summer.

Talking Gigipans

Cannot wait to see what you come up with this summer.
I would suggest another at the Alton Bay site, the Wolfeboro docks, Mt. Major, maybe one from the east side of Bear Island.

Thumbs up Gigapan

Your GigaPan shots are pretty wonderful. The detail is spectacular. What kind of DSLR do you have?

Pier626, I was using the default lens that I got with the camera, EF-S 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.

The gigapan has a weight limit so it's pushing it with that lens. We have a higher zoom one that I used last summer and I'll probably retake some of the shots with that lens over the summer. I hope to be able to get more shots.

I would love to get a higher MP camera at least for the shots, so i'm planning on seeing if I can borrow a new camera but we'll see how well that works out.
