It is starting to look like the secondary that was forecast to develop south of Cape Cod will not develop until it gets into the Gulf of Maine. As a result, the storm around here may be almost over.
It could get going again when the energy transfers to the secondary, but by then the secondary looks to be too far north and east to give the lakes area much more snow. Just my opinion. R2B |

The storm is sort of a bust (north of Moultonborough bay), but at least the kids got a day off school. As Jeffatsquam said, its hard to measure. Flat surfaces around the yard have a heavy dusting to just over an inch (canoe, picnic table, gas grill, etc), but there is a one foot deep drift just past my back door. In sheltered areas, maybe 2.5-3". It just started to shift to sleet. The snow was fluffy this morning, but now, its good snowball material.

I'd say about 8 heavy inches Manchester.

Strange about the totals from M'boro. I'm measuring around 9" in Meredith.

10-12 up here in Gilford near Gunstock. The snow guns are cranked...can hear them from my deck.

We got about 8 - 9" of snow in West Alton right on the lake. It was light and fluffy until the last couple hours of snowfall, but as the temp. climbed to 30 degs the snow turned more icy and heavy. The wind drifted the snow quite a bit during the afternoon, but now at 7:30pm the wind is completely gone. Current outside temp. is 31 degs.
