Default The Lake is on Fire

The lake looks eerie this morning, the fog is rolling across the water, we can't even see Governor's Island.

That's a much more reassuring picture Don.

That is one amazing picture! It truly does look like a big fire! Glad it wasn't! You should enter that in a contest!

Thumbs up The Tower Has Quite a View!

Grant, your shots are wonderful! Thanks for posting them. What time were you up on Abenaki Tower? We drove around the lake Saturday morning and I almost hiked up to the tower for a morning shot. It seems I've only been there in the afternoon when the sun is a bit of an issue.

That was Sunday the 20th, around 7:15, as I was on my way home. I like to make a Tower pit stop on my way out, and also like to walk up there after dinner most evenings. But the September morning fog is always cool to watch from up there. Some mornings, I've hung around and watched it dissipate.

Web Cam images are easy to access with an iPhone app.

Google for the site on regular computer and you can select areas.

Wow Bear Island South! Your early morning photo is fantastic. I guess it can pay off when one can't sleep late. Thanks for sharing it with us. I think it is time for you to start a gallery in PhotoPost!

The above shots were taken on September 20th - I think Bear Island South and I were up and about pretty early.
Isn't it amazing how much the view changes in such a short period of time?
