Mid-May Loon Chorus
Not much to see here, but there were a bunch of loons hanging around our area on Friday evening, and you can hear just about every noise a loon makes if you listen long enough.

A pair of young (yet pretty big) moose spotted along 109 near 20 Mile Bay on Saturday evening. I saw the same pair the next morning down in Melvin Village (bottom photo)...obviously on a north-bound...

When I drive solo or with one other passenger (3-4 times a year), I take the econobox Hyundai sedan, which rocks 35+ MPG. I even moved a kid to/from college in that thing. But, with a family of six...

I don't see why this couldn't be made a viable year-round entity, given that the closest "grocery" resources in the area (Hunter's & Harvest in Wolfeboro and Skelly's in M'boro) are each about 8...

That was my thought exactly. It seems unlikely that you'd snare a winter mooring ball/marker when trolling. Who moors a boat in the middle of the lake? More likely to snag a bottle marking a dive...
