In the sky, roughly in the area of sunset you will be able to see a Triple Conjunction. Tonight the clouds look to be a problem, but tomorrow night looks pretty good.

Sunset at Winni will be at 8.15, so the planets should be free of the sunlit sky sometime around 10 or 10.15PM

Dan, If your on the island you should have a great view!

Thanks Steve!

Yes I am on the island tonight, not sure about tomorrow night yet. I will try and get a pic if I can.

Clear view from Welch tonight. Venus first than a fainter Jupiter to the left and finally a very faint Mercury above Venus. Kind of neat to see. Almost set now.

I went out to try an take a photo almost waited to long. I wanted it to be dark enough so I waited for about an hour after sunset.

Anyway.. here is the image, and Distance from Earth on 5-27-13

Mercury is 91.7 Million Miles Away
Venus is 41.4 Million Miles Away
Jupiter is 624.4 Million Miles Away

Nice picture Steve! Kind of puts into perspective how large Jupiter is compared to Venus and Mercury, yet in the picture they all look similar in size.

Great photo Steve, while we got to see the show, did not have a camera up to the task of taking a photo of that.

BTW, impressive accuracy on your camera's range finder output readings.
