This station if for sale! http://www.spencerhughes.com/real_es...H/Alton/94014#
West Alton Station on the Lakeshore Railroad still stands next to Rt. 11. The Spring Haven Station may be seen along the road as well. According to a 1903 Boston and Maine Railroad Map the stations, starting from Alton Bay and heading north, were; Loon Cove (Brookhurst), Mt. Major, West Alton, Spring Haven, Lake Shore Park, Belknap Point (The owner of Kimball's Castle at one time had his own railroad car which would be left on a side line here while he was visiting), Glendale, Gilford, Lily Pond and Lakeport.

Thanks McD. I've been meaning to stop for a photo of this. Did you notice the submarine over to the left of the station? I would like to know more about it!
