Well - Just made Boat Storage payment and...
Just got all upset that the season is over already. Not that I am dropping the boat off until the end of October, just that it is hear and will not be long. Do not get me wrong I love the winter, just seems like this was the second year in a row that boating season was less than Par
How bout you? How do you think the season went?

This summer had to be the worst boating summer ever made since they invented weather! Who is reponsible for that May 15 to August 15 stretch of cool, wet weather in the sixty degrees & rainy range?
For growing mold and mildew, it was terrific. For boating, it was rotten.

short season
I have 45 hours on the boat and 23 hours on the PWC. These are the fewest hours in 5 years. It wasn't the economy, gas prices or speed limit. It was the really bad weather in June and July. It seems we just got into the swing of things in August and I feel the same as you do. A short season.
Hopefully a lot of snow this winter so I can make it up on the sleds. |

I am refusing to admit defeat here.
I have been cheated out of my summer so I am going to keep boating. I wonder if the wife will go for celebrating Thanksgiving at the sandbar. |

I'd be there with you except that my storage situation REQUIRES my boat goes into storage the beginning of November, no exceptions! Also, it might be damn cold on Thanksgiving; I recall snow on the ground by Thanksgiving on more than one occasion!

Love Fall Boating
I agree that we were all cheated this summer with the wet weather but…… we love boating during the fall. Fall colors, chilly boat rides to Wolfeboro for lunch, looking at all the for sale signs up around the lake, bon fires at night, chowder fest by boat, peace and quite on the lake….. We were boating last year till mid Nov (had to put on our ski jackets, gloves, scarf's and goggles ) and we hope to do it again this year.

boating on the lake during the fall is awesome. no one around and you have the lake to yourself pretty much during the weekdays. until after 6pm or so then people get home from work and then go out boating. then on the weekends its mildly busy

On the other hand we could say that it's only 257 days until next Memorial Day which will hopefully kick off a great boating season.

Just a start
I'm just starting my boating this year. Monday was windy on the broads but the coves/harbors were calm. I enjoyed getting out on the water again. Getting out of the boat is the problem but I made it on my own.
For those that do not know me I have had a year of battling cancer but am now fine. I will be going to Florida the end of Oct. so I can boat there in the warm.
