Default New Store on Daniel Webster in Belmont?

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what type of place is going into the new construction in Belmont NH just down the street from Vineyards? It looks big.. Any input would be appreciated. I have passed it a few times and haven't seen a sign.

Thank You,

I cant remember where is saw it, but I recall something about a fast food type place with a drive thru. If you look at the right side of the building there does appear to be 2 drive thru windows.
I think it said it was privately owned and likely not going to be a franchise.
Again, I know I saw something like this someplace....but I guess I could be mistaken!

It's going to be a Shell Station with a drive thru window for one food outlet or another.

That is pretty funny.. get your Casket at Costco and drive up to Beep and Weep...

On a serious note.. Why do we need another Gas station... I think Irving and BJ'S gas have the price down. Shell isn't going to be able to compete.. And there is a Dunkin Donuts down the street.

I think it may be a gas station but combined with something else. It is a pretty large building..

Anyone else know anything about this.

Thank you for the info so far.

Default Family Restaurant

Pretty sure it's a family restaurant. Ice cream bar and walk up window. Help yourself ordering system, various types of seating (booths, high tops, outdoor). Breakfast bar and casual seating around a fire place. There is a drive-thu. Don't know anything about a gas station.

Like the old Pondarosa? Bonanza? Something like that.

I saw the floor plans.

I do know this, it's one ugly building.

Default how long will it last?

With all the empty buildings around why build a new one?
Seems they come and they go with frequency up here. Maybe we should have a pool on how long it lasts, like ice out.
All the jobs with the exception of tourism related ones have gone making it hard to survive in this area.
Business thrives in the summer but drops off dramatically after September.
Maybe if NH promoted manufacturing like they do tourism things might be more stable in the lakes region.

Default NOT a gas station, it's going to be a restaurant

I don't know what would make someone think that a gas station would be put in there, they would have had to put the tanks in before anything else was done on the property and plus they didn't present that in their plans when they went before the Planning Board.

I actually talked to the developer, he said they plan on having a restaurant in the building (which is one of two buildings being planned for the site). He mentioned it wasn't going to be a franchise. They plan on building in phases...The first phase calls for a 4,100-square-foot building that will have a privately owned dine-in and drive-through restaurant which will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The other buildings will be for retail and I believe a bank...
