Wireless Irrigation Control
In the spirit of "I can't focus at work, I want to start the long weekend" I was looking at my webcam and noticed a goose sunbathing on my lawn. Then the thought came to me if I could turn on my sprinkler system using the Internet of Things then maybe I could scoot him/her off to someplace else.
Anybody have any recommendations? I use a few Insteon products at home but it appears their irrigation controller is no longer sold. Thanks. |

You could do this with an Insteon relay module setup to essentially manually engage a zone or two.
I just received a new irrigation controller that I have to wire up, but it would also let you do what you want: http://www.controlbyweb.com/smartstorm/ I haven't actually used this one yet, but I have some other Control By Web gear that I've been very happy with.

Either of these allow for remote, internet, control.
https://rachio.com/ http://www.rainmachine.com/ Or you could get rid of the geese by getting rid of the lawn (sorry, couldn't resist) |
