The NEW and IMPROVED rebate form
Has anyone else gotten their NEW and IMPROVED gas rebate form in the mail from the State? It looks like they have again changed the rebate proceedure. It looks like ATVs, boats, snomobiles will go back to yearly filing due by the following Apr 15 (as opposed to the old two year term). People buying in bulk like farmers apperently still file quarterly. The new form is the RT123 form and is downloadable at http://www.nh.gov/safety/administrat...l/fueltax.html
The actual law can be seen here: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legi...06/hb1418.html This takes effect July 1, 2006. Ya think maybe they realized they made way too much paperwork for themselves by going to quarterly?

Excellent!
That is great news! Can you imagine how much work the quarterly filing generated?
Not to mention most of us didn't use enough gas to get anything back in the spring season. |

Donate to navigation, safety, restoration and preservation!!
There is an option on the gas tax rebate form to donate a portion of your tax rebate to the navigation safety fund or the lake restoration and preservation fund. What a great idea! You don't often get to direct your taxes to a government project of your choice.
