Default North Shore Drive-In

Just had lunch at the North Shore Drive-In in Moultonborough. My husbands clam strips were delicious ( I tried a few). My all- white meat chicken salad sandwich was good and the onion rings were average.

Thumbs up

We had a good meal at North Shore last night. We were running late for eaing out before the Barnstormer's and needed a quick dinner. Food was fast and tasty-lobster rolls and fried clams. Great crunchy french fries. We will certainly be back. Even in the rain there was a nice view out to the pond and the Moultonborough Airport.

I drive by there every night right around dinner time. It is funny how one night you can't park in the lot and the next it is empty... I have to say I have seem a lot more cars there this year than last. I wish the people owning it would give us an update as to how they are doing.... I still wish them well. The wings there are awesome.....

I saw an older couple checking out the building last weekend and now the for sale or rent signs are gone. Cant wait to see what goes in there now.

Yeah I saw several vehicles in the lot there last night and the night before. That was quick. Maybe things are looking up after all.
Fullers has gas again, The Moultonborough Store is going through some serious cleaning out back, Bucky's has been packed lately almost every night....and gas is up to $3.82 at Skelly's.

I heard through the rumor mill that it will be opening as a Mexican restaurant this time. I so hope that's true.

Default El Centenario

My understanding is that it will be the second NH location for El Centenario (first is in Wolfeboro). I just rode by 10 minutes ago, they are painting and mulching etc. It already looks 10X better.

Thank you. I've driven by it a million times...never noticed it, so my drive-bys mustn't have been at dinner time! I love the Wolfeboro location; no view, but accessible by boat. Will definitely give this one a try.

Default El Mariachi Restaurant

Just drove by...signs are up...men working on the outside...no date of opening...??? Has loads of competition from El Jimador in Laconia/Belmont, but not a drive for us folks on the north end of the lake!! We won't drive to Wolfeboro to El Centenario...but this is so close it's worth a try!

Signs say "help wanted", "opening soon", and "El Mariachi"

Connecting the dots:

Planning board minutes in May mention "El Mariachi"...

Default New El Centenario?

That would be totally awesome if El Centenario opened in Moultonboro. The Wolfeboro restaurant is excellent... Wow!

I will confirm tonight, but that is my understanding. My son has a ball game in Alton so I think some Mexican is in order!

We've had several good meals at El Centenario. Went with a big group and had tons o' fun. Celebrated a birthday the El Centenario way. Very cool.

We've also sat at the bar on several occasions and chatted with both the owner and his son. They're doing a great job.

My biggest problem with dining out is that I never want to leave my house/porch/patio/beach/hammock...!! : )

That is a real neat bar top going into the new El Mariachi Restaurant.

The below picture is in this weeks edition of the Carroll County Independent newspaper:
