that is great, but whatever happened to just talking to marine patrol directly to begin with, by the time you talk to the right person, you will be half under water

Same with fires, medical emergencies or auto accidents. The 911 secretaries, filling out paperwork, have their place for people that don't know where they are, but get me to the people that will send help NOW and I'll be happier.

As I found out last week, you get a fairly long recorded message.

I'd call the MPs before they're necessary and find out whose extension you'll want to dial!

www.safeboats.com/boats/defender/ .... 270X DEFENDER: Noticed while riding my bicycle on Sunday the M.P. has what looks to be a brand new, and very expensive looking marked patrol boat tied up at their dock; a new, all-grey boat with brite blue police letters; NH MARINE PATROL; twin black Vorado outboards and is probably either 25 or 27', similar to other patrol boats except this one has a large & totally enclosed cabin. Could be around for the next 25-years or 50-years or so because aluminum means forever in the slightly acidic waters of Lake Winnipesaukee?

I have no clue as usual, but I betcha-betcha-betcha this very big-bucks boat was procured with some type of Obama-money from the Dept formerly known as Homeland Security which now has a slightly different name.....the Dept. of Obama-Money!

You know.....for just eight dollars for the actual phone and not including the 20 or 40-dollar tracphone time cards....the M.P. could get a tracphone and next time you have need help just send them a text ........omg...help! .....@ Fl-3.....sinking or drowning or on-fire or something!

Speaking of boats....what's the story on the Moultonborough Fire Dept boat? Saw it at Unique Boat Restaoration the otherdsay and looked like a pretty pricey rig.

FLL, Obummer has no money of his own...It's OUR MONEY!! I just sent a rather generous donation to the US Treasury yesterday, so now he can buy more boats or do whatever else he wants with it.

Well, he DOES have money of his own, but he certainly wouldn't spend it on anyone but himself and his family. We are supposed to give, but does not.

The old one kept sinking at the dock in Lee's Mills.

You should check out how they speced it out, Enclosed Cabin for 4 or more Firefighters. I checked out this type of Fire boat online before the final bid spec was put out, at least 5
Scandicks or a GOOD used Tucker.

In 2011 the voters of Moultonborough approved an aticle for a fire Boat.

ARTICLE 11

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Three Hundred Twenty Eight Thousand dollars ($328,000) for a program of capital improvements and expenditures, and equipment as generally illustrated below, and to meet said appropriation by a withdrawal of Fifty Five Thousand dollars ($55,000) from the Highway Equipment Capital Reserve Fund and the balance of Two Hundred and Seventy Three Thousand dollars ($273,000) from taxation.

a. Fire Dept. (Turn-Out Gear) $ 15,000

b. Fire Dept. (Fire Boat) $ 163,000

c. Highway Dept. (6 Wheel Dump Truck w/Plow & Wing) $ 150,000

Total $ 328,000

(Recommended by Selectmen 5 - 0)
(Recommended by Advisory Budget Committee 6 - 0)
A motion was made by Selectwoman Karel Crawford and seconded by Selectman Joel Mudgett.
This article was voted in the affirmative by a majority voice vote.

Here is the Invitation for Bid that was put out: http://www.moultonborough.org/Pages/...%20(FINAL).pdf

Just read that he has spent more of our money then any other president in history. I'm not talking government handouts, I'm talking him and has family.

The only clarification I'd make Tis is that his definition of family is fairly limited. For example, he has several aunts and uncles in Massachusetts (here illegally I might add) on welfare and he certainty isn't sending them any of his cash!

It's probably similar to the Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue 2006 27' Eastern Boat. Twin 150hp Evenrude E-Tec. 500 gpm pump. Equipped with medical and forestry equipment / tools.

It is now parked at the Wolfeboro Bay Dock as shown below:
