All in the Name of the Lake
I am getting out of work in Quincy MA in less than an hour, Going to Walpole and picking my 3 year old daughter up, Then driving south to Attleboro (right at RI boarder) picking up my patio set in my truck, and then Hitting the highway for the lake all so I can wake up there tomorrow morning and be instantly stress free!!!

We're ready for it!
We went out for a cruise early this evening - gorgeous! I had expected it to be more choppy (from wind) based on what we saw as we drove up along Paugus Bay. But as we went out through Weirs Bay, inside, then around Bear Island an on it was very smooth. Not glass, but quite nice. All-in-all a great couple of hours.

I was there yesterday (Thursday) and the lake was gorgeous!!!! Opened camp, just me and the dog, and discovered it's a much easier process without the kids. Unfortunately I had to go home at the end of the day and can't return for another 3 weeks. Sad.

Well I won't be on the water this weekend, much to my dismay. I took the carbs off my Sea Doo for a cleaning/rebuild. Ordered the parts a week in advance. Dug into the carbs to find out that I got the wrong rebuild kit from my dealer. I won't have the kits until Tuesday.

wave-runner riding
On Thursday, some friends dropped by with two wave-runners. It was hot - well into the 80's, and the surface of the water was warm enough that the spray felt good. Good thing the laser toting MP wasn't around

Life Is Good!
Breakfast at Sunshine and Pa's... Trip to Beans and Greens for dinner desert items (what a great place)...Steak tips from the Wineing Butcher on the grill...fishing off my dock...Watched a beautiful sunset...Sitting in front of my outdoor fireplace with my favorite drink as I type this...
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Life is great!! Dan |

And So It Begins!
My son and I launched our boat early Friday evening from Glendale and got it tied up at its slip in Smith Cove. A little more work is needed to make it 'perfect', but she's ready to go as is and we'll be heading out onto the lake tomorrow.
We didn't make it out onto Winnipesaukee nearly as often as we would have liked last year (thunderstorms late most afternoons put the kibosh on many of our 'after work' trips), so we're hoping to more than make up for it this year! |

Great weekend!
Mini golf, baseball games, cook outs (3 in 2-days!), family coming home from college, spending time with old friends, campfires - and it's only Sunday. It seems the area is a-buzz with activity and things are lively. Is there still a recession going on? You really wouldn't know it this weekend, ya know... Hope business is booming! |

AW,
A great weekend indeed! We did make it out today for a couple of hours between 11AM and 1PM. Though windy with quite a bit of chop we had a great time! Today will be the third time we've fired up the grill this weekend (Mmmm. Grillmaster steak tips from the Wine'ing Butcher....) The calendar may not say it's summer, but the weather and the activities certainly say otherwise!! |

Irresistible
I keep getting drawn to this thread like a moth to the flame...drinking in all the delightful accounts...and now have a second dog ,who is at the lake, to envy! I bet I'm not the only one who is "away" who is drooling over this, either! Well, I wish all of you happy, warm days there, and I hope the Smile of the Great Spirit is especially wide in August, too!! Not that I'm wishing your time away in the meantime...I know how short and precious summer is up there!
