Default Sandy is coming.....

Glad that the Brewster sailing class had a great day on Thursday to get some late sailing in.

Noticed today all the boats are out and up on land. Most likely getting ready for some wind from Sandy on Monday night.
Probably strip most of the remaining leaves from the trees as well.
Hey...I wonder how many of those big Romney signs will take off and fly away?

We lost pwer this morning in the South part of Laconia a little after 4:00 and it was out for a little less than an hour. I was gad to see it come back on. Hope it's not a preview of things to come. I wonder how wide spread the outage was and what caused it.

We never lost power on the north side of Laconia this morning. That could have been preventive maintenance, replacing an anticipated problem on the line or sub station, etc. I'm new to living here after Labor Day. How does Laconia fare with power outages? I owned a townhouse in Nashua on a terrible electric grid, we lost power constantly while other parts of the area didn't. Just wondering what the long time Laconia residents have encountered as far as power outages during storms.

We have lived here 13 years and this is the second outage, however the other one lasted a couple days. We spent a night at the Landmark and paid for a second one that we didn't have to use.
