Default Foliage Report?

Hello all...
I know there are links & sites that show the foliage forecast and updates; however
- I would like to hear from people right in the area - how is the foliage in your neighborhood??
I'm especially interested in the Moultonborough, Center Harbor, Sandwich and Meredith areas.
(I'm heading up there Friday and can't wait!)
Thanks!

Default Perfect timing

NH Kathy - you're going to have beautiful foliage this weekend! It's forecasted to be rainy, but the colors are beautiful. WMUR-TV has some information on foliage, which reported that northern country like White Mountain, Kancamaugus Hwy would be at peak this weekend, but the Lakes Region is just beautiful. (And should be next weekend, too!)

I think it was Friday, I drove down the Route 3 hill toward Meredith, and noticed a rainbow bending down on to the lake with the foliage as a backdrop. I wish I had my camera; it was quite a sight!

I just looked at the Weatherbug and both Saturday and Sunday look like all sun all day! we may get some showers on Monday afternoon.

Hopefully we will get the boat out on Monday for our annual foliage cruise.

Default You're right!

I'm happy to be corrected. The rain is Friday, and only 30% chance on Saturday! Thanks for delivering the good news, I really thought it was going to be wet!

Default Foliage

Just came back to HC from a drive into Center Harbor. You have plenty of brilliant color from Shaker Jerry down the neck and around our area...but the trees that are green with no change comprise a good 50 0/0 of the background. Looks like we are still a good week from peak near the lakes region but the brights are bright....rain or sun..it's a very pretty scene.

Default Thank you all...

Thanks for your imput
Hermit Cover - I'm am off the neck too - so thank you for the report on the neck & Shaker Jerry!
I know most years it is pretty much peak around the northern part of the lake on Columbus Day Weekend; but I did hear that the peak up north was almost a week later this year, that why I was curious about the area. Sounds to be pretty nice, and I will be there Friday thru Tues AM, so it should look good!
Anybody have a thought on which day of the long weekend may be less busy up north more (like the Kanc)? I know pretty much the whole weekend will be busy, but maybe one day less so?
Thanks again!

Arrow Berry Pond Foliage

We took this shot on Sunday, October 4th. Looks like there will be plenty of foliage left for this upcoming weekend!

You can't fool me RLW, you fed that maple cayenne pepper to turn it red.

Toured the Whites today. Conway/North Conway was peak, Crawford Notch was peak (beautiful) and Franconia Notch was a bit past peak.

Default Great pics !!

The photos are great you guys !! I really appreciate them, thank you. I am surprised too: I don't really see a big difference in the progression of foliage colors between there and here in northern Ct.

Default The West Side of "The Peninsula"

Here's one looking down the West side of the Peninsula on Rattlesnake.
Photo taken this year by Bill Hunt when he was out at the island - beautiful
foliage, and the docks pulled up give it a real "fall" look.
