Pickerel Cove
This was last year. This year it is ten times worse and the state won't do anything.

What are you hoping the state will do?

The problem with treatments on Winni's coves, as I would see it, is that you cannot stop the infestation from returning year after year. Good luck!! |

Additional information on Pickerel Cove
The homeowners surrounding Pickerel cove are part of an organization. Last year when they submitted the paperwork to have the cove treated for milfoil the request was denied by the state. There was a treatment done two years ago. This is the second season without any type of treatment. Boats and jet skis that are owned by the homeowners are having great difficulty getting to Paugus Bay because the milfoil wraps around the props. The city of Laconia did give the homeowners a very small decrease in property taxes because the property is taxed as water front property. I have never seen anyone swimming in this cove.

What was the reason for the states denying the treatment?
