Default Wam ???

New to boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, considering going into WAM next season.

Can anyone pass on anything good or bad?

We love it. It is very clean. The people are great. It offers everything you need. I also like its location on the lake. In my opinion it is the best all around marina on the lake.

If you have any specific questions please let me know.

Thanks Bill

Hey, Hurl! Good to "see" you! I have some questions about WAM, perhaps we can get in touch? Have an aquiaintance there, but would rather hear the "real deal"........ I'd say call Boe for my # but just PM me instead with yours and we'll get in touch. Thanks.

WAM = West Alton Marina

It's really whatever you think it is - great, good, so-so, or bad.

You decide, using the below picture from http://www.lakesregionarials.com/ as a guide to best answer your question. Fueled there a few times and never felt crowded.

Default re: crowded

They allow those tents you see in the skid row picture. I guess you can have one behind your boat, in certain areas. I'm sure they are comfortable but it makes the place look like...skid row.

Other than fueling, I havn't been there in years, so all my comments are just based on the view from the water.

Smile Wam

I just gave up my slip ... with tears and a heavy heart. So, you may be taking my slip on skid row.

I loved it there. We have had a house for the last two summers with a slip. Although, the slip isn't what we really want.... size wise, we bought a smaller boat and gave up the slip at WAM.

We did have a Screen House up.... there used to be only a few, now they are back to back. It is very convenient at night. you can put a table and storage closets and small refridg, tv and what not in there. Great set ups really.

They have a brand new bath house and great service. There are a couple on Skid Row that do nothing but complain.... just ignore them and enjoy. PM me and I will give you the skinny. ESPECIALLY, if you are taking my slip!!!

You will know if it is mine, because they had to move your boat on Saturday.... SORRY, but my slip was getting too shallow! So, I brought mine back for the rest of the season!!!!
