Libby Museum Webcam
A Libby Museum webcam with a view of Winter Harbor would be wonderful. Would the trustees of the Museum like to consider this???

May be a good idea with somebody else's money.
How much of Winter Harbor can be viewed even from the museum, or even the boat ramp there? Maybe 2%?
There WOULD be a good view of the condominiums there, though. Maybe a trustee living there would like it. |

Well, from the Libby, it gives the best shot looking toward the Broads. Granted, you do not see down toward the Basin or near Carey beach, but I think it would give a pretty cool view.

LibbyCam?
Let's see:
View of The Broads: .001% View of Carry Beach: 0% View of Winter Harbor: 2% View of Basin: 0% View of Noisy Big Boaters, Skiers, Tubers, Sightseers, Cruisers and Drunken Jet-Skiers, all violating the 150' rule: 100% Hmmm. The MPs might want to proactively view it in Gilford. Sounds like a Plan. Go for it! Quote:

Frdxplorer--- Just so you know, APS has been a member for some time. He has posted under Madrashah (sp???) and I believe I. R. . Just his way of expressing an opinion, and I don't ever take him personally.
I just think the more Webcams we get around the lake, the better it is for all boaters and lake lovers. If we can see our favorite little corner of the world on a webcam, so be it. Enjoy..!!!!!!

Yes, if you look through the archives you will find a note somewhere where our old friend "mad" confesses to changing his (her?) moniker each new year. The style and tone of the posts are hard to miss no matter what the name.

Sorry...
More of my tomfoolery.
Upthesaukee is correct (and now, Merrymeeting). As to "Carey" Beach, I meant to add this: It was to be a pun on the singular of "dental caries". (A state of tooth decay). Carry Beach appears to be a really a nice town beach and is not in decay. You'd agree that in front of Libby's is a very busy area. The MPs could allocate their boats by monitoring the LibbyCam. For the rest of us, it might be more fun to watch the busy boat ramp there. No, I didn't get a blood-alcohol on them (and one has to be p-r-e-t-t-y drunk to stand out in the Jet-Ski crowd). But I've seen them. |

Indeed, I think the one thing we can certainly all agree upon is that the MPs would be well appreciated in the Winter Harbor Area as much as possible. I greatly appreciate those that know the laws and respect them. For those that don't... learn them and respect them.

I think the top of the Libby would present a great view of lots of summer and winter fun! Tons of people head to Winter Harbor to waterski, and in the winter a lot of people ice fish, snowmobile, xcski, etc. Very busy place, something would always be going on!

Town of Wolfeboro
The Libby is controlled by the Town of Wolfeboro. Address this idea to the Selectmen. Also suggest a web site for the museum.

Libby view
I think the view from the front of The Libby Museum is among the most beautiful as you drive around the lake. A web cam of that view should be nothing short of spectacular. I enjoy visiting all the web cams in the region to get my "Lake W" fix for the day. Thanks to all the people who maintain them for the rest of us to enjoy.
