Another Celebrity Visits Lake Winnipesaukee
I was just watching Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He said that he had just spent two weeks on Lake Winnipesaukee and that it is a great place. He gave a shout to two baggage handler's that took care of his luggage at the airport in Manchester. I am sure we pass famous people when we are out in our boats everyday and we don't even know it.

I think his girlfriend or fiance or wife or whatever is from the Wolfeboro area.

I wouldn't know him if I walked right into him.

Rent the movie!
Rent "Fever Pitch" to see who Jimmy Fallon is. Its funny movie about a Red Sox fan.
A quote from the movie "If its a girl, Carla Yastrzemski Wrightman. Lets all pray for a boy." |

Jimmy Fallon ate at our place last week when he was up. He has been coming by with his wifes family for a few years now. He is very low key and opens up once someone has nerve enough to talk to him. He has a quirky sense of humor. The first few years we were not sure if it was him but verified it this year.

I saw a limo roll by at Meredith's 4th of July Fireworks, and wondered who that might be. Fallon doesn't strike me as a limo guy, but it could have been!

It's their job; it's what they do.
About three years ago I was in line for ice cream at Shibley's in Alton Bay and right in front of me were two members of Godsmack with a little gaggle of girlfriends and whatnots... I knew who they were (I liked their first album)... but well... I didn't make a fuss or get excited - they were fun to watch, livin' the dream I suppose.
In my former life, living in Nashville and working in PR, I came to the realization that this is their (celebs) "job". This is their work. And if they were being obnoxious, I just reminded myself that in medieval times they would have been called a "Fool" as their job title. |

Drew Barrymore
I believe Drew Barrymore comes to the area every summer to visit one of her friends. She flies right into Laconia Airport.

I saw him at the IGA in Wolfeboro on Wednesday, July 7th buying some groceries. He seemed very low key and friendly but I did not speak with him.

Star struck
Having spent way more time than I wanted in LA, I love Wolfeboro because there is not all the "fan" fare that comes along with every star's appearance..I would prefer to see them enjoying time away from the glitz and glitter and just being regular folks.. give them space and let them be.

Her whole fam

There are numerous celebrities always in this area visiting. They come here to get away from the crazy L.A. scene. This is where they dress down. They don't wear makeup. As a photographer I learned that everybody looks 'normal' without help from professional hair & makeup jobs and Adobe Photoshop. Even the celebs. They have the same blemishes as the rest of us, when they choose not to hide them. Skip the hair & makeup for a couple weeks, add an old pair of jeans, a "New Hampshire" T-shirt, and a Red Sox cap... and a celeb can pass right through our crowd looking like just another tourist. |
