Default Cribbage, anyone?

Just talking with a friend of mine and found she loves to play cribbage. We thought it might be fun to start up a group in the Alton Bay area... I have no details yet on the whens and wheres for this but thought I'd check with all y'all to see if there was any interest.

Please post or PM me if you're interested. Name days of the week and times when you'd be most interested in getting together. Most likely we'll be meeting at a community center or the library or whathaveyou (public place).

THANKS!

15-2, 15-4, 15-6, and right card is 1...

My wife and I have thought about hosting a cribbage night once a week. We're in Laconia so if Alton is too far away, post your interest anyway.

Default Interested in Laconia

My wife likes to play and would be interested in a group in Laconia. We're in South Down. She currently gets together with a friend from church that lives in the Taylor Community.

Thumbs up

FANTASTIC! Count us in! We love cribbage. We live in Florida, but we will be arriving for six months at the lake starting in very early May. We also go to the Gilford Library several times a week and last fall we saw that they were starting a Scrabble group and are VERY EXCITED about that, too! Does anybody know if it has started up yet?

Those of you wanting to participate in a cribbage group in Alton, please post days of the week/times you're interested...

I'll start...

Sunday afternoons
Thursday evenings
Friday evenings

Once I get a basic head count, I'll lock in a room at the community center or library or whathaveyou, and post the wheres and whens.

So far, we have about 6 people interested from this forum and other connections in the Alton area...

How about cribbage ON the water? A nice pontoon boat would make a great setting, but not on a windy day.

I just heard on the radio just this morning something about Cribbage at the Meredith Community Center, as well! Does anyone have details about that?

Not any more. It would be a little crowded on my PWC. Cribbage standing in Braun Bay with a floating table maybe?

I understand there's going to be some awesome players there - I'm bringing a pillow because I know they're going to kick my butt. I'm a decent player but nothing to brag about... I play cribbage like I bowl or golf - I'm in it to have a good time like the big kid that I am....

Thanks - just backing some of the great teachers we have at our elementary school. One of them happens to be the youngest Argelet's teacher and we are truly blessed to have her working with our son!

We had a nice little turn-out yesterday with about seven of us playing. There were all different skill levels there. I think Jeanzb1 cleaned the boards nicely with a few of us - she got a nice 24 count hand in the last round of games - lucky duck!

Anyhow, we're on again next Sunday if y'all can make it. If Sundays don't work for you or you'd prefer a different time, just let me know. I'm open to moving the dates/times around... nothing is set in stone.

Hope to see you soon!

It takes people like her to get the ball rolling and others follow and really enjoy themselves.
Although I do not play Cribbage and my dad god bless his soul sure did try to get number 2 son to learn to keep him company, I pass on my gratitute to Argie's Wife for doing what she has done to try and get people that do enjoy the game together.

I have a birthday cake all ready to bring today, but I will put it in the freezer and bring it next week instead.

UPDATE: I've PM'd you Jeanzb1. My apology for missing you guys today but a simple trip to Maine turned into a lot more than I'd planned on thanks to my not-so-trusty minivan. I am sorry if anyone waited for me today and will make it up to you next weekend with a tasty treat. I feel so bad about this - it's not like me to miss something like this. Thanks for your patience!
